CLUB NEWS

   2008 U.S. Futsal National Championships

Were played this past week in Baltimore Maryland and two CJSL teams, Manhattan Kickers and Asphalt Green Wave, played in the U10 Final after beating teams from California, Maryland, Penns., NJ, Wisconsin and Mass.

http://www.soccerincollege.com/TTResults.aspx?tid=TRN673&year=2008&div=U10M01

Congratulations to the Kickers for Winning 1st place and congrats to Asphalt GW for 2nd Place.

The fact that both of the teams in the final play in the CJSL is a testament to the quality of soccer here in New York City. And, while most of the teams in the tournament regularly compete in futsal, Asphalt Green and Kickers rarely play this type of indoor soccer.
