Chico Junior High School Club Basketball
This site is the main resource for team practice and game schedules. Games will added as they are scheduled. Practices times are not set in stone and may be adjusted depending on the coach's schedule. Practice Schedules are located under the Calendar feature and can be sorted and printed by team. Games schedules by team are located under the Schedules feature and also appear on the calendar.

Tournaments are set. Gold teams are at 25 games and Blue teams are at 21 games if anyone has any connections with coaches, schools or other players that you think might want to play Chico Junior Blue Teams please give me a call.

Revised Boy's Jamboree Schedule Posted
The 7th and 8th Grade Boys Jamboree will take place on Saturday, November 21st at Paradise Middle School. Each team will play 4 scrimmage games. Schedule is attached. Several teams have added to the tournament so game times have changed. Handout: 2009 Boys Jamboree Wednesday, November 7

Club Details
Chico Junior High School Club Basketball 2009-2010 Club Basketball is a competitive league run by parents. We need every parent to participate in order to make this program successful. Below is some information that will acquaint you with some of the parent/athlete obligations. As a "club" sport, there are fees associated with participation. Should your child be selected as a member of a CJHS club team it will be both the parents' and your child's responsibility to fulfill these obligations. Team Selection and Grade Requirements: Players will be selected for each of the eight teams (two teams per grade, Boy's and Girl's teams). Coaches will evaluate players on their basketball skills, sportsmanship, attitude and attendance during try-outs and then make team selections. Team players must obtain a GPA of 2.0 with no F grades to be eligible to participate in club basketball. Progress reports and report cards must be submitted during the basketball season to prove eligibility.
Practice and Game Schedules: Practice will start after October 1st. There are generally 4-5 practices a week, after or before (6:00A.M.) school, on a rotating basis. Games are once or twice a week with occasional tournaments on weekends. Boy's games will be scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday. Girl's games will be scheduled for Monday/Wednesday. Season play will begin in November and ends in early February. There is a season limit (maximum - not minimum) of 25 games per team (tournaments count as two games) for 7th grade teams and 8th grade teams.
Fundraisers and Fees The Club has traditionally held a shoot-a-thon and hosted a tournament to fund this program. The Club is financially responsible for referees, coaches, insurance costs, administration costs, uniforms, equipment and tournament entry fees. The fee to play is $175.00 per player for the season. This fee is due before the first game. Every attempt will be made to make the club affordable for all those who make the team.
