<font size="4">Denstiny Elizabeth Jefferies, departed this life on Friday May 9th, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte,NC. Destiny was Born December 23, 1996 in Boston Massachusetts, the daughter of Joaquin and Ursula Jefferies. </font>
</p>
<p>
<font size="4">Destiny was a very active child, she ran track for M.L.K. Blasters of San Diego, CA and continued to run for the Charlotte Heat Track Club. She also danced for Westerly Hill Elementary School Step Team: F.A.M.E. of Charlotte,NC.</font> 
</p>
<p>
<font size="4">Destiny received the M.L.K. Peace Marker Award in 2006. She was also awarded the Drama Queen of the Year. This year, she received the Citizenship Award and was a Honor Roll Student at Westerly Hills Elementary School.</font> 
</p>
<p>
<font size="4">She was a Pure Joy to know and love. In the short time we as a Charlotte Heat Family knew Destiny she touched&nbsp;our life's with her beautiful smile and her unwillingness to quit or give up. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.&nbsp; She's our Team &quot;ANGEL&quot; looking down on us!!!</font> 
</p>
