Any questions e-mail charlotteheattc@hotmail.com

Our Program offers athletes a dynamic balance through team/individual elements of track and field as a medium to strengthen work ethics and foster self-esteem. Charlotte Heat doesn't host tryouts to join. Track is not about just running and athletic conditioning; moreover, it is a training ground for our next generation of productive citizens.

Team
members learn the lessons that competition teaches both on the athletic field and in life.  They also learn to combine self-discipline, training, and dedication; lessons that carry over into all aspects of their lives.

Charlotte Heat offers the following running program throughout the year:

(Outdoor Season) March-August Practice 3 times per week Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:30-8:20pm

Outdoor season is the core of the training process because it is when all of the competitions will be offered. We also use outdoor season as a tool to help coaches monitor athlete's academic and social progress during the school year, following up on tutoring needs, and keep parents in sync with upcoming community service projects.

Academic Requirements

As athletes develop both physically and academically, they are inspired to achieve their personal best, whether that is in the form of college scholarships or as Olympic hopefuls. We realize that not all of our athletes will grace the cover of a sports magazine that is why we stress the importance of scholastic achievement through our grade point average guidelines.

All of our athletes must maintain at least a C average in order to participate. Our message to our children is clear: "ATHLETICS ARE IMPORTANT, BUT READING, WRITING, AND MATH ARE A NECESSITY!"
