To: All Rec. & Middle School Cheerleading Coaches,

            After careful consideration and review, we regretfully inform you that the Douglasville Cheer Stars will not be hosting the ‘Cheer Star Challenge’ event this season.  For the last two years, we have hosted this event at Lithia Springs High School.  This location has always proved to be an excellent facility for this huge event; however, due to Lithia Springs High School’s longstanding event ‘Christmas in Lithia,’ the high school is not available on Sunday-November 11 (the date tentatively scheduled for this years’ ‘Cheer Star Challenge.’)  After reviewing other dates that were available at Lithia Springs High School, and then considering Cheer Stars’ competition schedule along with other programs’ recreational cheerleading competitions, we realized that the ‘Cheer Star Challenge’ would not be possible this season.  We are not willing to risk using a facility that may not be as accommodating to such a large event and/or jeopardize any other programs’ annual event.  We would like to thank you for your interest in the 2007-2008 ‘Cheer Star Challenge.’  We do plan to host this event again next season and look forward to working with you and your teams once again.
