Greetings volleyball fans,

It is time to get this web site back into shape.  Our girls have had a fantastic season thus far and we need to let everyone now about all the great things that are going on in Central Georgia Volleyball.  All of our teams have been more successful this year than any other that I have witnessed over the past three season.  Our girls have been a competitive force in every tournament and they continue to improve week by week. Unfortunately, as a father of a 15 year old I have only been able to see first hand the success of the two 15 year old teams, the Hurricanes and the Beast. The Hurricanes took second place this weekend in a tournament in Evansville, GA.  The Beast also played well against teams from GA, AL, and TN.   I will contact the other coaches and start posting more detailed info from all of our teams soon!

This has really been a great season so far and our coaches have done a great job of keeping our girls motivated and committed to volleyball.  Thanks so much to all of the coaches who volunteer their time to help our players.  I would personally like to thank Ruben Zuniga.  He has been coaching with CGVA for a number of years already and this year he stepped away briefly to deal with some health issues.  However, he came back to coach the 15-2 team, even though his daughter is on the 13U squad, to ensure that all the 15 year olds had the same opportunity to play and learn.  I have always admired Ruben's approach to coaching and I truly respect his commitment to his team this year.
