Parents should arrive at the concession stand 30 minutes prior to the start of their daughter's game.  The shift is over when the last game at that time slot is over.  

Example:  You are scheduled to work Saturday for your daughter's 1:00 PM game.  You should arrive at the stand at 12:30 and stay until the last 1:00 PM game is over and those players have left.   We do this because it can be overwhelming for one parent to have to handle a rush of up to 20 players coming to the stand for ice cream at the end of a game on a hot day.  It could be you!

Please do not just show up for your shift at game time.  It is not fair to the other parents working that night and you may also get turned away at that point and lose your work bond.   We open 30 minutes early so kids can get drinks or a snack before a game if necessary.

If you choose to forfeit your work bond ahead of time, it's fine if you inform your manager prior to the start of the season.   Please do not decide this on the day you are scheduled to work - unless another parent on your daughter's team is nice and covers for you, her team will forfeit!   Be courteous and don't inconvenience everyone.

If you have two daughters in the league, you only have to work one game!   Just communicate with your daughter's coaches so you don't get scheduled for two shifts.   If that happens, please inform the manager of the team you WON'T be working for so he or she knows and finds another parent for that day!

We know working in the concession stand is not anyone's favorite thing to do!  That being said, our work bond program has fewer requirements than almost any league around + our concession stand is important to the league as an amenity for the players and parents as well as for supplemental revenue that gets plowed back into the league.  CGSL is run entirely by volunteers and your help is needed!

  Please listen to the entire message to make sure the date is correct!  Hang up after the message - do not leave voicemail since this number is only used for rainouts!
