This weeks Golden Pinnie is awarded to Eric Grigoleit!  Eric's hard work and dedication to improving his skills have been quite evident. His constant improvement and recognition of his peers, determination to learn the fast moving game of hockey and overall eagerness to learn has earned him this prestigous award! Way to go Eric!!!

Association Member Spotlight - November 

Nickcole

Congratulations to the Jr Fireantz for receiving the Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports grant of $2500.  What most people don't know is our association member of the Month, Nickcole Tabraham, was directly responsible for the association receiving this grant. She worked with Greg Hutcheson on the idea and she also coordinated the efforts between each team and their team managers. Her tireless effort resulted in the award of this much needed grant. Please take this opportunity to thank her when you get the chance! Way to go Nickcole!!! 

T E A M W O R K

Teamwork is defined as such: Teamwork, Pronunciation [teem-wurk] –noun 1. cooperative or coordinated effort on the part of a group of persons acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause.

While the definition itself is quite simple, I think a picture adds to the definition. If this picture doesn't define teamwork, I'm not sure what will.

Congratulations to all Jr Fireantz who participated in the Responsible Sports Liberty Mutual grant process.  Our hard work has paid off in  a big way with a $2500 grant awarded to the Jr Fireantz.

The Golden Pinnie is here!

Squirt coaches have implemented a new incentive program this year called The Golden Pinnie.  The Golden Pinnie represents hard work, dedication, true sportsmanship, improvement and a tireless effort to be a team player.  This special Pinnie will be awarded to the Squirt who displays the "total package" during game time action.

WIth that, the first Golden Pinnie is awarded to Brock McNeely! 

Brock's devotion to constant improvement is quite evident in his increased skating ability and determination to outskate his teammates - in some cases two years older!  Way to go Brock!!!

Jr Fireantz Swap Shop

The Cape Fear Jr Fireantz are proud to announce a program that will help families share/sell used hockey equipment throughout the hockey community.  Families can offer any quality hockey equipment that they would like to trade or sell.  Check back often for new additions.
