* Welcome to the New KINGS SCHOOLS SKI-N-BOARD Clubs Web site!
This web site is serving two separate clubs: Columbia Elementary School Club and the Kings Jr. High and High School Club. When using this web site please take care and use the information associated with your child's school. If you have children and both CES and KHS/Jr. High than you will need to download and use both for registration on the Perfect North web site. If you use the wrong one (i.e. you sign your CES child up using the KHS and Jr. High account they will end up being on the KHS and Jr. High list not the CES list which may result in them missing the first week of skiing because of that).
* Equipment transportation to Perfect North
CES bus riders: Will need their equipment at school before last bell. The equipment for CES students will travel on the bus with the students. Immediately after the last bell ski club bus riders will meet in the CES cafeteria.
KHS and Jr. High Students: You have two options for equipment drop off. 1) Have the equipment at school before the last bell. We are working with Jr. High and the High school to find a room that can be used and locked all day. More information will be forthcoming on this. 2) The second option is to take equipment to Nancy Firsich’s house the night before or the morning of the trip. You don't need to call first unless you need directions or want to check to see if she is home. If she is not at home and you feel comfortable, you can just leave the equipment outside her garage. Immediately after the last bell bus riders will meet in front of the Jr. High main entrance.
Her address is:
Nancy Firsich

* Bus transportation to Perfect North
CES Buses: For the past two years we have had enough students to charter two buses for CES students. This is not guaranteed. We encourage you to sign up as soon as possible. The first bus cut off will be based on the date and time you signed up via the Perfect North web site. If we do not have enough students to pay for a second bus then we will only have one bus going....seats are limited!
KHS and Jr. High Buses: KHS usually has three buses each week. We encourage KHS students to sign up early as well to help ensure they have a seat on the bus.
* Perfect North Club discount prices
Perfect North discounts are only good through November 22. After that the prices go up considerably.
* First, about the Skiing and Boarding
As our name implies, we are a club of skiers and boarders, offering four trips to Perfect North Slopes. This club is run by unpaid parent volunteers. Our goal is to expose the students to a healthy life style which will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Unlike many other sports skiing and boarding can be a life long activity for people of all skill levels.
The Kings schools ski clubs have been offered for years, are well established and have good reputations with Perfect North. Instructional classes are included with the four week lesson program pass. Perfect North offers classes at a variety of skill levels which are not only encouraged but rewarded with free passes from Perfect North (see their web site for more details). Often you will find skiers who have been skiing for decades taking the classes to improve their skills.
CES Chaperones: Chaperones are needed for each CES trip to help run the lodge area. In addition to that slope chaperones who ride the bus are also needed. Slope chaperones will receive a slope pass for that trip. We have a limited number of chaperone passes for each trip so we need to keep them organized. If you are interested please email the CES coordinator at info@CESskiclub.com.
KHS and Jr. High Chaperones: Bus chaperones are needed to ride the ride each week. If you are interested please email the KHS / Jr. High coordinator at info@KHSskiclub.com.
* Staying Informed about Club Activities
We will post updated information here on the web site and will also blast an email update to everyone who provides the club with an email address. This site will be updated every trip day by noon to keep you informed on the status of the trip for that day. We will often post a wrap up of the trip which will include a general idea of how the trip went along with any concerns and overall ski conditions.
* Forms, informational packets and signup passwords
What's next ?
1) Click on "Forms" at the left side of the page.
2) Download the informational packet for your child's school (both if you will have a student in both clubs).
3) Print the packet.
4) Follow the instructions for registering on the Perfect North web site (please use a good email address since this is how we get your address for the email blast).
5) Fill out all the forms in the packet and return to the respective coordinator (instructions are on the forms).
* 2010 Change for the basic four week lesson program
This year Perfect North is offering one free pass for completing two of the four lessons with the four week lesson program pass. In the past they offered one for the first two lessons and one for the second two....now it's just one for taking two of the four lessons.
