2009 Frequently Asked Questions ( FAQ)  

When Does Practice Start and where is it held? 

Practice in 2009 will start on Wednesday, July 29.  The CCC Warriors practice at Cradlerock School field located on Cradlerock Way in Columbia, Md.

How often is practice? 

During the summer weeks, prior to the start of school, practice is Monday thru Friday for all tackle teams and cheerleaders from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Flag will practice on Wednesday and Friday from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. Once school starts tackle football and cheer will be M-W-F from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and Flag will be 6:00pm to 7:00pm on W-F. The week after Labor Day cheer practice will be Tuesday/Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm at an indoor location.

When are games played and where? 

All games are played on Saturday’s and the time depends on the age of the team. The younger teams play earlier. The home games are at Cedar Lane EAST. The away games are based on the schedule and can be in Howard, Carroll, Baltimore, or Montgomery County

How long is the season? 

The season opens with the first league game the last Saturday in August and will continue with games each Saturday until the playoffs and Championship games conclude in mid November.

What league are the CCC Warriors a part of? 

The CCC Warriors are a part of Mid Maryland Youth Football and Cheer League or MMYFCL. The league has programs from the Howard, Carroll, Baltimore, and Montgomery Counties. Please see our Home Page to link to the league’s website

What football equipment is provided? 

The Football registration fee includes the use of CCC Warrior equipment - helmet, basic chin strap, shoulder pads, hip pads, thigh and knee pads, practice pants and practice jersey. Also provided are game pants, belt, game jerseys, and 1 pair of new game socks to keep.

What Cheer Items are provided? 

The Cheer registration fee includes the use of the CCC Warrior cheer uniform and a pair of new cheer shoes to keep.

What will I need to buy for football? 

You will need to buy personal items for your football player. You must have a mouth piece, a jockey strap and athletic cup, Black football shoes with rubber molded cleats on the bottom, All Warrior football players are required to wear ONLY NAVY BLUE  long sleeve undergarments for cold weather, if you elect to wear an undergarment. All tackle football players will need a 3 pocket “girdle” to hold your hip and tail pads in place before the first day in equipment. 

What will I need to buy for cheer? 

You will need to buy personal items for your cheerleader. These items must be purchased from the CCC Warriors so that the style and color are consistent. You will need a body suit and a pair of cheer briefs, cheer socks, and a warm-up suit.  

How will my child be placed on a Football Team? 

Placement will be made by age as of August 1st, weight determined at the late July weigh-in, team need, and team openings. Team placement with friends will not be considered because the players may be a different age on August 1^st, their weights may be different, and a team may have a need for one position player over another position player.

How will my child be placed on a cheer squad? 

Placement will be made by age as of August 1^st, skill, and overall need of the various cheer squads. Team placement with friends or family members will not be considered.

Do you have Scholarships? 

The program may or may not have a few scholarships available, this is dependent upon contributions. If scholarships are available they will be given on a need basis after a review of circumstances.

What must I do to Register and have a spot on Football or Cheer? 

Full Registration is accomplished once you have (1) paid your registration fee either on line or via the mail. (2) Submitted a fully completed Registration Form with your signature. (3) Received a confirmation email or call from the CCC Warriors. Registration forms without payment will be returned and the child’s name will be placed on a waiting list until payment is received. What is your Refund Policy?

Once a participant is registered all fees are non refundable, no matter what date.
