A former four-year collegiate track and field athlete, Richard, owner of Breakthrough, specializes in rehabilitation of orthopedic post-surgical patients and athletic injuries.   Years of working experience, including tutalage under his physical therapist father, makes Richard a strong believer in conditioning and injury risk reduction.   He places a high priority on educating patients and their families on how to get on the road to recovery.

In addition to 2000 square feet of rehabilitation equipment, Breakthrough has a working relationship with Velocity Sports Performance, the largest provider of athletic training in the country. Housed under the same roof, this relationship offers access to an indoor football/soccer field, a 60-yard track, a basketball court and state of the art sports training equipment.

A masters-trained therapist from California State University, Long Beach, Richard spends his free time mountain biking, working in the yard or spending time with his young family.
