Our baseball philosophy has no age
"Major league technique" taught at every level.
As professional players move through the minor league system, training techniques and fundamentals do not change. We take the same approach. As players move up by age through our program, teaching techniques about the physical and mental aspects of the game remain the same. There are no contradictions between coaches at any level. Its a consistency that eliminates confusion for the player.
Our mission is teaching
Teaching lies at the core of our philosophy, "constant improvement."
Our programs are not loaded with tournaments, just to play games! Playing games, without knowing proper technique, only promotes bad habits! For that reason, our 4-month programs include a minimum of 6 practices, to teach the proper technique and to improve skills! Our two tournaments per program are used to measure how the player can execute those newly learned skills under game conditions. After the last tournament, a written Individual Player Assessments TM, is shared to outline what needs to be improved at the next set of practices or through private lessons.
Our program is flexible
We work around high school and travel ball schedules.
We enhance the baseball experience by minimizing the stress of schedule conflicts. Sunday practices, tournaments that don't interfere with high school leagues and four-month (not year-round) programs are features we place within an already packed student athlete schedule. Mobile private training is also available, where our coaches go to you.
Our commitment is to academic success
Academic workouts are part of baseball workouts.
Regardless of how talented a player might be, college admission standards must be met before recruitment begins. Our academic workouts include study skills development, understanding personal learning profiles, time management, test-taking and preparing for the SAT.
Our resources guide your college selection
Seminars and individual college guidance allows you to make an informed decision.
Our college recruiting seminars are interactive discussions between experienced panelists, players and parents who want general advice about NCAA rules & regulations, college finances, and how to get seen by recruiters. For those who want more, our college guidance program is a comprehensive tool kit that includes a letter of introduction, athletic resume, recruiting video, web links to colleges and counsel from a former college recruiter and coach.
Fun is part of the game too
When they start the game, they don't yell, "Work ball." They say, "Play ball!"
The famous quote by Baseball Hall of Fame member Willie Stargell describes how we feel -- we love the game. And we gladly share our joy and enthusiasm for it with players and parents.

Testimonials
Whether its our coaches or staff, our mission is to be "relentlessly positive!" It is with great pride we share these testimonials about our positive influence on players. As you read them, you'll begin to understand the CA Yard Dawgs College of Baseball experience ...
"Jeffrey signed his national letter of intent to play college baseball in Georgia. Many, many thanks for your never fading patience, support, HONESTY and guidance with Jeffrey. You helped him understand the role of the high school baseball coach and its programs for players who want to advance to the next level after high school. You mentored him to accept personal responsibility to improve in both athletics and academics in order to reach his goals. He is a different son from two years ago ... I wish Jeffrey had met you 5 years ago instead of two."
Michelle Brown, Parent of Corona High School graduate
"I noticed that my son was having a great time. He said he loved being out there with you guys, the coaches and the players. He mentioned how he likes what you guys have them doing in the dugout during the games. And I certainly don't hear that very often.
My son loved seeing the level of players in the tournament and high school games just don't get like that. I let my son choose who he plays with and he, without a doubt, likes playing with the Dawgs."
Greg Miller, Parent of 16 year old player
"My son learned more about himself, the dedication needed to really achieve his life's dream and the game of baseball in three days working with you. Its more than he has ever learned in the 10 years he has been playing organized baseball. And a dad can only teach so much.
You taught him in 3 days what no coach could teach in 10 years and that is a miracle. The kid was driven before but now he is at it every day since practice ... "
David Edwards, Jr, Parent of 17 year old player
