Professional Coaches Take Players to the Next Level

Tony Torres, Director of Player Development and Head Coach

Tony received a scholarship from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a four-year starting second baseman, which culminated in an MVP award.  After graduation, he was signed by the Baltimore Orioles.  He has trained every age level and has led a high school varsity softball team to the league championship.  His 25+ years of coaching experience is woven into a manual on the complete game of baseball, with an emphasis on hitting.  A proud father of four, his greatest joy is working with young players and witnessing their joy of improvement, on and off the field.

Tony recruits, trains and develops players in the San Francisco Bay area and Southern California.  He is also a tournament coach and trainer.  Tony can be reached at (650) 704-3380 or Tony@CAYardDawgsBaseball.com.

Chase Peckham, Coach and College Guidance Advisor

Chase has been involved in the baseball community for over 20 years.  In high school, he was a four-year varsity player and league MVP.  He played at Riverside Community College and then transfered to the University of San Francisco (USF) and played first/outfield.  He stayed on as an outfield coach, hitting instructor and  recruiter.  After his recruiting days, he spent eleven years with the San Diego Padres where he traveled with the team and held a variety of jobs, including throwing batting practice, setting up video replay and working in the front office.

Chase is a fielding and hitting instructor for players in the San Diego area.   He can be reached at (858) 869-7719 or  Chase@CAYardDawgsBaseball.com.

Randy Wilson, Pitching and Catching Coach

In high school, Randy was a three-time all CIF middle linebacker and league MVP his senior year.    Recruited by Texas A&M football, a knee injury turned him to pitching.   After pitching for Fullerton Junior College, he was recruited by Cal State Fullerton but ended up as a starter for Colorado State at Pueblo, a division two program in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.  A career-ending elbow injury ended his pitching days but he has stayed in touch with baseball.   Randy is the pitching coach at Fullerton Junior College and is the varsity pitching coach and junior varsity head coach at Valley Christian High School.   Randy has two bachelor degrees, one in American history and the other in kinesiology.

Randy can be reached at (714) 875-9695, Randy@CAYardDawgsBaseball.com.

Pat O'Hara, Infield Coach

A Palos Verdes High School graduate and twice first team all-CIF, Pat was recruited by Pepperdine Univeristy, a high level division one program.   During his freshman year, under the leadership of Andy Lopez, now head coach at the University of Arizona, the Waves won the NCAA College World Series.   His senior year, Pat transferred to the University of California Berkeley and continued to play first base and DH.   Pat returned to Cal and coached infielders and outfielders under Bob Milano, a 600+ game winning coach.  Pat continues to stay involved with baseball and is affiliated with with the Milwakee Brewers organization.

Pat teams up with Chase as a fielding and hitting instructor for players in the San Diego area.   He can be reached at Pat@CAYardDawgsBaseball.com, (858) 705-3230.
