Congratulations to Mitchell Self of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, who commited to Auburn University. Mitchell attributes a 4.0 GPA, high SAT scores, participation in camps and showcases for getting the attention of schools. Auburn awarded him with a full academic ride, including tuition, books, room and board.
Jeff Brown Signs With Paine College, Georgia
Jeff Brown of Corona High in Riverside didn't play on the high school team his junior year. But he was undaunted, and continued to play on travel ball and tournament teams. He focused on schools outside of California, especially those in the south and east, eventually signing with a 90% ride to Paine College in Augusta, Georgia.
