Building Volunteer Umpire Participation

Here are some ideas: 

Work out an umpire swap program with another local league.

Help those who want more games to reach leagues who need more umpires.

Invite Senior and Big League players to rules clinics and umpire training sessions and try them out in lower divisions to start.

Contact local high school or college baseball programs.  Be prepared to provide gear for them, and be clear that it is a volunteer opportunity.

Treat volunteer umpires well - support their decisions, feed them after games, show appreciation.

We have Umpire Decals for any level of play for $10 each.
