Calexico (2) finished an improbable run in the District 22 Minor Division TOC to win the championship. Last night, Calexico (2) defeated Calexico (1) 9-8. The story of the Calexico Dodgers has been told over and over, but in case you've missed it, here it is again. The Dodgers lost their opening game of the tournament on Monday, June 1, and were sent to the consolation bracket. Beginning on Tuesday, June 2, they played and won nine must-win games in ten days. An amazing run and an amazing finish to a great tournament.
Congratulations to the Calexico Dodgers, the coaching staff, and parents for winning the District 22 Tournament of Champions.
