 2009 Season

Asheville Jamboree:  The Lady Dawgs started off the season by posting 2 scrimmage wins against Pisgah (3-1) and Hendersonville (2-nil) at the Asheville Jamboree in some rainy and cold weather. 

BHS vs Thomas Jefferson:  Cancelled due to snow.  Will not be re-scheduled. 

BHS vs Freedom:  Cancelled due to snow.   Will not be re-scheduled.

BHS vs Crest:  The Lady Dawgs posted a hard fought season opening win against county rival Crest by overcoming a 0-1 halftime deficit to claim the 2-1 victory.

BHS vs East Burke (Burke County Invitational): The Lady Dawgs fought through for a 1 to nil victory to push their record to 2-0-0 on the season.

BHS vs Freedom (Burke County Invitational): The Lady Dawgs battled to a 1-1 tie with future (2010) SMAC-7 conference opponent Freedom.  The Lady Dawgs season record stands at 2-0-1.

BHS vs McDowell (Burke County Invitational):  Burns dropped its first game of the season 0-1 to McDowell in the final round of the tournament.

BHS vs Avery County:  A hat trick and some inspired play led the Lady Dawgs to victory 3-1 over a very good Avery Co. team.

BHS vs Crest:  The Lady Dawgs took an injury riddled lineup to Boiling Springs and battled Crest to a 2-2 tie in the season re-match.

BHS vs Thomas Jefferson: Burns erupted for 6 goals to claim a 6-1 vs the Gryphons and push the overall record to 4-1-2 on the season. 

BHS vs Newton Conover: Cancelled.  Re-scheduled for Friday April 17 at Burns at 5:00 pm. 

BHS vs Highland Tech:  Cancelled due to rain.  Look for re-schedule information soon.

BHS vs Shelby:  Burns dropped the conference opener to the Lady Lions 1-4.

BHS vs RS Central: Cancelled.  Re-scheduled for Friday 4/24/09 at 5:00 pm.

BHS vs Patton:  cancelled.  Will not be re-scheduled.

BHS vs Chase:  The Lady Dawgs secured their first conference win with a 6 nil romp over Chase. 

BHS vs East Rutherford: The Lady Dawgs rolled to a 5 nil shutout for their second consecutive conference win. 

BHS vs Newton Conover: Burns exploded in the second half for 5 goals, after leading 2-0 at the break, for a 7 nil out of conference win.

BHS vs KM: Burns came up on the short side of a 1-5 decision.  

BHS vs Shelby: Injury riddled team meets buzz saw.  8 nil Lions.

BHS vs RS Central: The Lady Dawgs dropped a close match to the Hilltoppers 1-2.  The re-match is coming! 

BHS vs. RS Central: The Lady Dawgs and Lady Hilltoppers battled to a 1-1 tie.

BHS vs Chase: The Lady Dawgs got back on the winning track with a 3 nil victory over Chase's Lady Trojans. 

BHS vs East Rutherford: The Lady Dawgs completed their home schedule with a 2 nil win over ER on Senior Night.  Thanks Cristal!

BHS vs Kings Mountain: The Lady Dawgs finished up the season with a 4 nil loss at KM to finish  9-6-3 overall (4-5-1 SWC) GO LADY DAWGS!
