Development Program Highlights

Creation of the “Hockey Development Committee” whose purpose is to coordinate, implement, oversee and monitor the development of Burlington female hockey players.

  Integral to the Hockey Development Committee will be the creation of a new Development Coordinator position, whose duties will include overseeing, monitoring and evaluating all operations of the Bantam AA, Midget AA, Junior and Senior AAA Programs to ensure the goals of the Hockey Development Committee are being adhered to on an ongoing basis.  

Affiliation of our Midget AA and Junior teams with the CWHL Senior AAA Barracudas which will include: 

·        Integration of Junior and Midget AA players into CWHL Senior AAA training sessions 

·        Joint practices with the Senior AAA and Junior teams including call ups from Midget and Bantam levels 

·        Weekly combined, on ice, training sessions rotating between the Senior, Junior, Midget AA and Bantam AA  teams 

·        Regulated, structured AP call up system for both training and game experience between Bantam, Midget, Junior and Senior AAA teams. 

·        The utilization of affiliated training instructors 

 ·        Coaching assistance and mentorship from the CWHL Senior AAA Elite players   

·        A shared coaching vision with regular reviews of all Players at the Junior, Bantam AA and Midget AA level
