Angels 3 Pirates 2
The Angels beat the Pirates in a well played pitcher's duel at Nassahegan field. Thomas Stolfi pitched a complete game for the Angel's win while recording 13 strikeouts. Pirate pitchers Brain Dooley and Wes Coughlin pitched well, allowing only 3 runs. Angels fielders played well, including Trevor Baker, Jimmy Wilcox, and William Gentile. Matt Gerasimovish played 6 strong innings behind the plate.
GAME 4
Angels 15 Harwinton Pirates 11
The Angels beat the Harwinton Pirates 15-11 in a 4 inning game called for darkness. Angels batters Trevor Baker and David Macher were on base with every at bat, while Burke Magnus worked the bases and scored two runs. Matt Gerasimovich, William Gentile and Jimmy Wilcox batted in Angels runs. Pirates pitchers Jake F. and Danny L. threw hard while Danny C. hit the ball well. Angels pitchers Wilcox, Gerasimovich, and Aaron Laskos combined for the win.
Angels 20 Harwinton Pirates 11
The Angels and Pirates battled the mist and mud at Nassahegan on Saturday morning. The Angels scored 20 runs behind good hitting from Matt Gerasimovich (triple) and Jake Rochford (double). Pirates hitters Jake F. and Mike H. kept the game close with good hitting while Matt L. picked up four walks and scored three times. William Gentile, Kevin Kryzwick and Jimmy Wilcox played well in the field for the Angels. Aaron Laskos, Thomas Stolfi and David Macher were on base all game and scored three runs each for the Angels, while Burke Magnus, Ian Dunn, and J.D. LaBerge helped tally runs. Trevor Baker, Matt Gerasimovich and Jake Rochford braved the mud in catcher's gear as did the Pirate's Chris Romano and Jimmy Romano.
GAME 2
Pirates 10 Angels 9
The Pirates beat the Angels 10-9 in an exciting game at Nassahegan. Pirate's pitchers Brian Dooley and Anthony Licata combined for the win. Angel's pitcher Thomas Stolfi started strong again throwing two scoreless innings. Angel's hitter Jimmy Wilcox debuted with two hits and Aaron Laskos and William Gentile hit and scored to give the Angels a lead lasting to the final inning. Pirates hitter James Tessman played well and Giovanni Peraza's double in the last inning helped seal the victory.
GAME 1
Angels 14 Cardinals 9
The Angels defeated the Cardinals 14-9 in a well-played game on sunny Malerbo field. Thomas Stolfi started the game by pitching two scoreless innings for the Angels, while Andrew Kirby threw hard into the third for the Cardinals. Angel's hitter David Macher poked a home run to break open the scoring while Jake Rochford poked a double and played well in the field. Cardinal Tim Forella scored twice and pitched well. Matt Gerasimovich's pitching held the Cardinals scoring down in the 4th and 5th innings, while Aaron Laskos made a great catch for the Angels that led to a double play.
