A Buckeye Mom - By Zack's Mom #48
Each one of us the Mom,
Of our own special boy.
We watch him succeed
With so much pride and joy.
How that feeling overwhelms
When they work as a team,
All of us moms together
Shine a radiant gleam.
We release our balloons
Each an individual prayer
As the balloons drift together
We know God is there.
Through our eyes
He is watching
Protecting them all,
If one boy goes down
Each mom feels his fall.
Teamwork is the lesson
We know how to trust,
Did we learn it from them?
Or did they see it from us?
No single person
Could handle the weight
Of support we have given,
In numbers we’re great.
Our boys are like brothers
We moms, family.
Our family never stops growing
Like a young Buckeye tree.
Though some may move on
And a new mom takes their place,
We will always see how much they’ve given
On each player’s face.
Your heart must be large
Your arms open wide
Always room for the boys,
As they stand side by side.
In the stands at the fifty yard line
Or where ever you go,
You are forever a Buckeye Mom
I just wanted you to know
