Was a one all ballgame up to the 5th after Jack Fletcher scored on a Thomas Cameron hit in the 1st but  a three-bagger by Bruin Josh Davison playing for Sharks and a homerun by ex-Bruin Julian Jemmott put paid to this game for the Brown.

The eventual tournament winners, and full of current Australian players, it was a given that they would eventually run over the top of us.

Game 3 -   SYDNEY UNITED  6-5  Loss    Pitcher Thomas Cameron

Bruins were leading up to the 3rd then was a draw for two innings . Brown got ahead by 1 in the top of the 6th but a wild throw by third baseman Richard Devey scored two for them and time and game in favour of the visitors . We have had some  tight games with United in the past and this was no exception.

Game 4 -  GIANTS  6-4 WIN   Pitcher Jack Fletcher                 Thomas Cameron B6

Pitcher Jack Fletcher would have been forgiven for thinking he was in for a bad time when eventual grand-finalists Giants Lead-off Ric Morgan put him over the fence but he put his head down and went to work and pitched a blinder. Bruins scored 2 in the 3rd and 4 in the 5th while they got 1 in the 1st, 1 in the 4th and 2 in the 6th. The bats finally woke up brown got more hits in this game than previous games which shows in the final score

Game 5 -  SCORPIONS  4-2 Loss  TIE-BREAKER    Pitcher Thomas Cameron

Bruins held the lead until the 4th from a monster homerun by Tyron Bartorillo when Scorps evened the score.At the top of the 8th we went into a tie-breaker situation and another Tyron Bartorillo hit scored the placed runner Raymond Lane to put us back in front but Scorpion Terry Downes put an end to that with a walk-off homerun that scored two.

Just one of those games where both teams score 1's and 2's here and there but we just didn't catch up.

Game 7-  RAIDERS  6-5 Loss  TIE-BREAKER       Pitcher Thomas Cameron     Jack Fletcher

At the bottom of the 7th the score was 5 all. Again we find ourselves in a tie-breaker but we did not score as runner Daniel Hooper was too slow and thrown out at the plate. Their runner was also thrown out at the plate but the umpire called the runner safe-game over. Catcher Richard Devey questioned the umpire and third baseman Ray Bartorillo agreed with Rich but to no avail and so ended the tournament for Bruins.
