Background on EJ & Deuce
Deuce and Eddie Johnson (aka EJ) have been paired up as roommates during the World Cup run. The two have been close since playing together on U.S. U-20 National Team that lost in quarterfinals of 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. They are known to terrorize their teammates by bumpin music.

Like Deuce, EJ hails from humble beginnings. EJ was born in a tough section of Palm Coast, a city near Jacksonville, Florida, and his family later moved to Dallas, Texas. EJ joined the famed Bradenton Academy as a youth, and signed with Major League Soccer when he was 17. In 2004, EJ won the MLS Golden Boot Award as the league's leading scorer. During qualifying matches for the World Cup, EJ averaged roughly a goal a game for the U.S. Word is he's ready for more in Germany.
