Bob was a 1986 graduate of Brick Memorial High School. He competed for Coach Tony Caravella's #1 Team in the State of New Jersey. He finished his high school wrestling career by becoming Brick Memorial's first State Wrestling Champion. Bob won his title in the 171lb weight class. He also captured a 3rd place state finish the previous year.
