POOL INFORMATION - Bound Brook Recreation Commission Codrington Park Pool Registration

The Arthur Herrington Pool Registration is taking place now.

Pool opens – Wednesday, June 22, 2016 for a 10 week pool season

Pool closes for the season – Saturday, September 3, 2016 and will be open from 12-6 pm

Park Hours – 8 am to Dusk

Pool Hours – Monday through Saturday 12:30- 8:30

Sunday and Holiday Hours 12:00-6:00

Our day camp is an eight week program for children ages 8 to 12. It runs Monday – Friday from 8 to 4:30 starting June 22nd through August 26th. More information will be available at sign-ups and posted on the website in June.

Bound Brook Recreation will sponsor a series of sports camps this summer for boys and girls from ages 8 to 14. These camps will focus on development of sports fundamentals through drills and group exercises. They will be administered by current high school coaches who will be assisted by members of their teams. Forms will be available at registration.

Learn to Swim Program

Session 1 – July 11 to July 29

Session 2 – August 1 to August 19

We offer different level classes ranging from Pre-Tot (ages 3-5) to Guard Start. Lessons are held for 2 three week sessions, Monday through Thursday 9 to 11:30 am. Fridays are reserved as make-up days. Each class is 25 minutes long. Guard Start will be offered depending on amount of registration.

Our pool prices for the 2016 season are as follows:

Senior Member- Age 62 $25.00 $25.00 $35.00

Guest Badge- Out of town guest/Day-Pass $10.00

******Guest Badges will not be given out on days we have special events at the pool. This is offered to members only.

Senior swim will be offered on Saturdays from 11 to 12 where senior members can swim before the pool is open to the public.

This year we will have one session of aqua aerobics per day, Monday through Friday from 11:45 to 12:30. For those of you who work and would like to be included in this class, a Saturday AM session will be added upon interest. These sessions are free with the purchase of a membership. Membership also includes our special event nights held at the pool which will be posted in June. We look forward to a successful pool season and lots of fun in the sun. The Bound Brook Recreation department offers a variety of programs for borough residents of all ages.  

Recreation shares many resources with the borough's schools including our new recreation center,
recreation fields, tennis courts and school gym facilities.  
 
NEW SUMMER GIRLS BASKETBALL CAMP for Girls Ages 8-13 yrs. - August 1-4 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Bound Brook Recreation Center, 200 Thompson Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ - Click Here for more information. 

RECREATION COACHES: We must have volunteer coaches, who are Rutgers Certified, and enough players at every level to be able to put teams into this league. If not it may result in cancellation of the program for the season. Your help is greatly appreciated. Please inquire when you sign up your child if interested, if you are not certified we can help. Recreation Spring/Fall Soccer Boys and Girls K - 8:
This is an instructional program and a chance to help children enhance their skills in the sport of soccer. They will have practice 2x a week lasting an hour and half and Saturday games that will require some travel to surrounding towns. Times will be announced at a later date and coaches are needed and required. This sign up is for both Spring and Fall soccer however you do not need to play both seasons just specify what you are interested in at the top of the form.

Recreation Softball for Girls K-8: This program is designed to teach the basics of the game of softball. It will work on fundamentals and techniques of the game. Practice will be an hour and a half 2x a week. Games will be played during the week start time is 6pm. When games start practice may be cut to 1 day a week. There will be some traveling to close towns required for games. This is a great sport to try if you like to be with your friends outdoors.

Bound Brook Little League: Bound Brook Little League has combined with Middlesex to provide a better baseball experience for our children. Sign-ups are finished however if you would like more information their website is: Middlesexlittleleague.org

US Sports Tennis program: Regardless of age, participants will learn the basic fundamentals in stroke production, court movement and footwork skills, in a low pressured, yet energetic environment. This is a great clinic to join to learn about the game of tennis. Due to our courts being redone in May, Middlesex is running this program in the spring.
