The Boulder Stars completed a successful 2011 season at the 14B level and have a solid core group of returning players to compete at the 16B/A level for 2012. We are going into our 6th year together and have added several experienced athletes to fill our roster. Overall record for 2011 was 52-30-1. We will play in 15 tournaments in 2012 including Mountain Magic in Steamboat Springs and the Sparkler.

 In 2007 the Boulder Stars 10U finished with a record of 8 wins and 4 losses, 2nd place in league and tied for 5th place in the IPGSA 23 team playoffs.    A fine season for a first year team.

 In 2008 we had a record of 2 wins, 23 losses and 1 tie.  As a first year 12U team we struggled but finished on an up note winning 2 of our last three games.   We also played in several tournaments.

In the fall of 2008 our girls won the Fall Middle League tournament.

 In 2009 we played as a 12U team in the IPGSA league plus several tournaments.

The Boulder Stars 12 &Under fast pitch softball team coached by Pete Sprenkle, former Boulder High coach, won the Indian Peaks Girls Softball Association championship this past weekend at Garden Acres Park in Longmont.

After going 12-0 in league play the Stars beat the Johnstown Rough Riders 14-3, Ft. Collins Stars 14-0 and the Berthoud Blaze 14-3 to claim the title.

Three Stars pitchers - Raina Galbiati, Julia McCue and Josie Russell combined to allow only one hit while striking out 26 batters. Galbiati had seven hits and McCue had five to lead the Stars attack which generated 31 hits.

The Stars placed third in the ASA State championships at West Park in Broomfield.

The Stars season record is 35 wins and 14 losses.  

In 2010 playing in the 14 & Under B classification we played eleven tournaments and also played in the IPGSA Competitive Girls Softball League. We ended the season with 35 wins, 33 losses and 3 ties. We placed 4th in the Metro Classic, 3rd in the Spring Swing, 2nd in the Diamonds in the Rockies and 5th in the Firecracker and 2nd in the IPGSA Competitive league tournament.

 In 2011 we played again as a 14B team and had another sucessful season
