Calendar Changes and Updates
Congratulations to Klayton Anderson and Hunter Edwards for placing in the Knob Noster tournament. Klayton took 2nd place and Hunter placed 3rd. Also participating in the tournament were Charlie Pumel, Kathryn Anderson, Joel Concannon, and Peyton Hahn.
We will be having a parents meeting next Thursday, December 17th, to discuss the tournament and singlets. I am waiting for a finalization on the artwork. The quote for the price of the singlets is $38. We will not be practicing next Wednesday due to the SSPP Christmas Program. All 6U can attend Monday or Thursday, or both! We will be attending the high school meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Singlets
I have called about new singlets to different places. The singlets we looked at last night from Matman run about $50 apiece plus printing for an approximate total of $60. This seemed a little to pricey so I found an alternative singlet. To look at it you can google the Brute Maverick Singlet. This singlet is available for $29 through Scoreboard Wrestling. It would be an additional charge per logo. With two team logos on the singlet it would still be less than $40. Please take a look and see what you think. We would purchase it in royal blue and white. We decided at the board meeting last night to continue the current policy of using post dated checks for the equipment deposit. The deposit will be $65 per wrestler. Post date the check to April 1, 2010. The check will be returned at the banquet when we check in equipment. Again, thanks to all who attended the meeting. See you Monday night.

Thanks to all the parents who attended last night's meeting. It was very productive.

Wrestling Practice Starts November 16
Sign Ups for the upcoming season will begin in November with the first practice on Monday, November 16th. Evening practices will begin at 6:00 and go to 7:30 on Monday and Thursday evenings. Tuesday nights will be for our younger wrestlers (6 and under) from 6 to 7. Parent's meeting will be Thursday, Nov 12th at 6:30. The fee this year will be $75 for members and $90 for non-members. This fee includes the USA wrestling competitor's card. We will also discuss hosting both tournaments or just doing districts at the parent meeting.

I just received word that we will be the district host this year! Mark your calendars for March 6. We will need a lot of help.

Boonslick YMCA Holiday Tournament
We will be hosting our annual youth tournament on January 2, 2010 in the high school. Entries will be $15 with entries due by December 26, 2009. We will be needing lots of volunteers!

Show Me State Games
We had several wrestlers compete at Show Me State Games this summer. Coach Justin Hahn took first place as did Trevor Ditto. Taking second was Dallas Pumel, and in third Joel Concannon. Rory Concannon and Charlie Pumel both took fourth.

Summer Camp a Great Success
Our team made over $400 from the Mizzou Summer Wrestling Camp. All who attended learned a lot and we will have it again next year. Thank you to all who participated.
