The new Panther Trained 2009-10 T-Shirts are available for purchase on our spirit wear site.The shirts feature a list of every wrestler, coach, and manager from this year's season. What a great way to commemorate a great season!

Off-Season Wrestling Makes Future Champions!

Reality Sports offers freestyle training on Mondays and Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm right here in Bonney Lake at Mountain View Middle School. It's a great program, and you'll see a lot of your teammates and future opponents training there also. USA Wrestling offers many tournaments on the weekends. You are required to hold a USA Wrestling card to participate.

You can also be putting in time in the weight room, and conditioning for speed and endurance.

BLHS Wrestlers Take 8th At State!

 Andrew Cunningham and Nick Bendon join the elite list of BLHS State Champions

 It was a great weekend for the BLHS Panthers at the 2010 Mat Classic. The Panthers took 4 wrestlers to the state tournament: Nick Bendon, Andrew Cunningham, Jared Dorsey, and Josh Peart. It was anticipated that all would do well at the competition.

 Sadly, Josh Peart suffered a season-ending injury when we was thrown during a semi-final match and injured his shoulder. As the x-ray showed a fracture, he was unable to return to the mat to finish the tournament.

 Jared Dorsey had a great showing in a tough heavyweight bracket, and finished his season with a 4th place finish at the tournament.

 Andrew Cunningham became the 2nd state champion for the BLHS Wrestling program when he defeated an opponent from Yelm in the 103 bracket (Addison Tracy was our 1st state champion when he finished 1st last year at 145). A few matches later, Nick Bendon defeated Alec Williams from White River to claim his medal.

 We're very proud of our wrestlers and look forward to great things in the future of the program!

BLHS Finish 4th in Sub-Regionals and Regionals

The 2009-10 Bonney Lake Panther Wrestlers had a strong showing in the 3A sub-regionals. Nick Bendon, Andrew Cunningham, Jared Dorsey, and Josh Peart all finished first to advance to regionals. Brianna Monaghan finished 2nd in the grils division and advanced to Regionals. Jake Lueders and Robby Slick also qualified to move on to Regionals with 4th place finishes. Phil Hathaway and Matt Yuste will advance as alternates. Overall, the BLHS team finished 4th in subs behind Enumclaw, Auburn Mountainview, and White River.

 The following weekend BLHS also placed 4th in regionals at Mount Rainier HS and advanced Bendon, Cunningham, Dorsey and Peart to the state tournament. Best of luck at state, boys!

The Bonney Lake High School Wrestling program is designed to help student athletes become healthy young adults who are confident and successful in school, athletics and life. Wrestling is a valuable tool in helping our student athletes to set high academic, athletic and personal goals and achieve them through hard work and self-discipline.
