WRESTLING BOOSTERS LAUNCH COFFEE FUNDRAISER

The BLHS Wrestling Booster Club is selling locally-grown coffee to raise funds for the BLHS wrestling program. Brewed by Buono Coffee in Wilkeson, WA, "Panther Brew" is available in Espresso, Drip, De-Cafe, and Whole Bean. Panther Brew is sold in pound bags (a full 16 oz.) for $8 each. To order Panther Brew, contact any BLHS Wrestling Booster parent. Thanks for your support!

 The Cadillac of all bleacher seats is now available from the BLHS Wrestling Boosters!  Feel the difference of soft, cushioning support while you enjoy a day-long tournament in a gym or stadium. Made of a durable steel frame and commercial-grade canvas, this may be the last bleacher seat you ever need to buy.

 The BLHS Wrestling Booster Seat is available in black with a 2-color Bonney Lake Panther logo on the back. Single name personalization is also available. Contact any booster parent for more information or to purchase a "booster" seat.

PREPARING FOR THE SEASON

Here's a list for your calendars of how you can prepare for the upcoming season. See Coach Clarke for more information.

Weight Room

• The Weight Room will open Monday, September 14th
• The Weight Room is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 2:30-4:00pm.
• You need to be there on a consistent basis for you to see any success. 

Reality Sports

• They practice at Fife High School
• Practices begin October 5th and run through November 11th.
• Practice times are from 6:00-7:30pm
• Cost = a donation
• If you need a ride a Coach may be able to help you organize the rides.

BLHS Wrestlers Take 6th at State!

Congratulations to the Panther Wrestlers for their performance at the State tournament at the Tacoma Dome February 20-21, 2009. The grapplers took 6th in state as a team. Out of the eight wrestlers we took, six of them placed and we have our first wrestling STATE CHAMPION: ADDISON TRACY!

Here are the Panther wrestlers placing at the state tournament:

Addison Tracy - 145 lb - 1st place

Nick Bendon - 135 lb - 4th place

Joey Salgado - 152 lb - 4th place

Jared Dorsey - 285 lb - 4th place

Sam Mebarki - 189 lb - 7th place

Josh Peart - 140 lb -  8th place

119 pounder Robby Slick and 125 pound Pat Bendon also earned a spot on the state tournament roster. 

Congratulations to all the wrestlers for a great year! You've all accomplished a lot in just 4 years!
