Capital Athletic is Participating in the Susan B Koman Race for the Cure
Sacramento, CA -- The Capital Athletic Soccer Academy is participating in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race For the Cure on May 13, 2006. The club has pledged a goal of $1,200.00. Everyone is asked to join in this very important race. Thus far the club is 43% of the way to reaching its goal.

This effort on behalf of the club is being coordinated by Director of Soccer Operations Melissa Cavitt. You can join this important cause and keep track of how the club is doing raising these funds by going to the Capital Athletic Team Page.

One in seven women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime. The Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure® raises money to fund education, screening and treatment programs for these women and thousands of others in our own community and supports the national search for a cure.

The Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the largest series of 5K run/ walks in the world. Since its origination in Dallas in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure® Series has grown from one local race with 800 participants to an international series of 115 races with more than 1.3 million participants.
