Capital Athletic Partners With Nike Soccer
SACRAMENTO , CA – Capital Athletic Soccer Club (CASA) President/CEO Chris Vrame announced today that the club has formed a partnership with Nike Soccer to become a Nike Sponsored Club effective immediately.

“This is a very exciting development for our club and our players, parents, and coaches,” said Vrame. “Nike has long been regarded as the premier soccer company and we are proud to be a partner with such a great supporter of youth soccer. I was extremely impressed with the presentation made by Nike and in the end this was not a difficult decision to make.”

As a Nike Sponsored Club CASA is on the fast track to becoming a Nike Premier Club by 2007. CASA will have immediate access to Nike Tournaments and Friendlies such as the Manchester United Premier Cup in Beaverton Oregon. In addition all of CASA’s tournaments officially become Nike Sponsored Tournaments. During those tournaments CASA will have access to Nike coaches and Nike athletes to come and make promotional appearances as well as give clinics.

In return all CASA teams, players, and coaches will exclusively wear Nike uniforms and use Nike equipment. Nike, regarded as the world’s leader in apparel and footwear, has been a longtime supporter of soccer in the United States. Since 1995, Nike has been a major sponsor and licensee of U.S. Soccer, outfitting both the men’s and women’s national team programs, as well as the youth national team programs. Nike also sponsors a host of top international teams including Brazil, Portugal and Holland as well as a number of internationally renowned clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona, Juventus and Boca Juniors.
