Saturday, November 12
December Seminars & Workshops Scheduled
The College Assistance Program for Soccer (CAPS) will hold three seminars and workshops in the month of December CAPS Director Gabriel Bolton announced today. CAPS is a comprehensive college recruiting program designed to assist players and parents in navigating the complex world of women's college soccer recruiting. This program is free to all River City United players and parents.

On December 11th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bolton will hold a seminar called The Recruiting Process. This seminar is a four-year outline of the women's college soccer recruiting process and is the foundation for CAPS. All parents and players must participate in this seminar before advancing to any of the other seminars or workshops.

Bolton will then host a seminar and a workshop for freshmen. The workshop is called Selecting a College and will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Player and parents will review their Top 15 List with each other and discuss the important factors in selecting a college. This will be followed by a seminar called Communicating with College Coaches Your Freshman Year. In this seminar parents and players will learn how to create a Player Profile and Recruiting Letter which will be used in the recruiting process.

From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Bolton will hold a workshop for sophomores called Creating Your Personal Recruitment Plan. The PRP is the heart of CAPS. During their time in CAPS Bolton creates a PRP for each player based on the needs and abilities of that player and her family.   This PRP helps guide each player and family through the recruiting process.

If you would like more information about any of the seminars or workshops that CAPS has to offer please contact Gabriel Bolton at 916.541.2977 or CAPS101@comcast.net.
