Boca '91 Girls Repeat Against Cal Cougars
Ripon, CA -- At home or on the road, when it comes to games between the Cal Cougars and the RCU Boca Jrs. '91 girls team (playing as Cavitt Academy) in Super Y League play, the results so far this season have been the same.

For the second time in four days Boca Jrs. defeated the Cougars 4-0. Playing at the Ripon Sports Complex for the first time this season Boca Jrs. opened the scoring in the first half when goalkeeper Erin Rost earned her second assist of the season. A monster 60 yard punt by Rost found forward Timery Mueller who ran onto the ball and beat the entire Cougar backline to give Boca a 1-0 lead.

The Cal Cougars only managed one shot in the first half, however it took a brilliant save by Rost to keep that shot out of the net. One of the Cougar players slipped in behind the Boca back line and went one on one with the Boca goalkeeper. Rost closed down the angle and then stuffed the Cougar attempt on goal.

"That was a brilliant save," said Bolton. "Other than that one opportunity our back line (Rachel Rodman, Stephanie Collins, Alex Del Agua, Jen Ericson, and Nicole Wilson) really did a great job the entire game limiting their opportunities."

The score remained 1-0 until early in the second half when midfielder Teagan Seman crossed a ball to Natalie Perez who blasted it into the side netting.

Mallory Creamer gave Boca a 3-0 advantage when she dribbled two defenders and then beat the goalkeeper. Creamer then helped create the final goal of the match when she flicked a ball on to Rachel Mercik who dribbled into the box and powered the ball into the upper right hand corner to give Boca the 4-0 victory.

"Cal Cougars is a tough team to play," said Bolton. "They like to play an offside trap which really hurts our offensive flow. We created plenty of opportunities but had a hard time finishing today. However, I'm proud of the girls for grinding through the game and giving a terrific effort in the second half."

Next up Boca Jrs. will travel to Fresno to take on the California Odyssey on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
