Mohamood Razack, the Blast Girls' Club Director, is a former professional player born in South Africa. He has coached boys and girls at both the club and high school levels in the Columbus area for over 15 years. Most recently he led the 95 Girls to a State Cup Championship in the Ohio South State Cup. By virtue of their State Cup performance, the 95's earned an automatic berth to the Region II Championships where they won their group and advanced to the Region II Finals. Many of Mohamood's former players have become Division I college players, with some now taking coaching positions in the area. Mohamood has served as an assistant coach for Ohio Dominican College's varsity women's team, and head coach for the Columbus W-League and Y-League teams. Mohamood's coaching philosophy, which is followed throughout all levels of the Club, emphasizes basic skills and midfield play. An important point of emphasis is for players to learn how to read and enjoy the game.
