We are very proud of the team and their accomplishments. The Celtic represented their club and the Tampa Bay area with outstanding soccer. Monday, June 12 BLACK WATCH CELTIC 2006-2007 TRY-OUTS 2006-2007 - U16 Boys Competitive soccer team try-outs. Try-outs for the Celtic u16 team will be held Tuesday June 13 - 6:00 p.m. Thursday June 15 - 6:00 p.m. Saturday June 17 - 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 12 ABOUT OUR CLUB When Black Watch Soccer Club was first established in Tampa in the late 1970’s, its initial coaching staff was originally from Scotland. They chose to establish a rich Scottish heritage as part of the club’s atmosphere. The Black Watch (or the Royal Highland Regiment) was the premier independent Scottish infantry regiment in the British Army with roots dating back to the early 1600s. They became known as "The Black Watch" for the watch they kept on the Highlands of Scotland and from their dark colored tartan uniforms. Later they became the first kilted regiment in the British Army, and the first to march into battle to the rhythm of bagpipes. The history of the Black Watch Regiment is so rich in tradition and is honored at our club by our logo, the flags flown over our fields and the use of team names representing various famous brigades and historic battles. We are proud of this tradition and hope to carry on similar traditions of honor and good sportsmanship as we play the game we love - SOCCER. Adidas Classic 2005 Tournament Champs
