***ALWAYS REMEMBER:***

1. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

2. "I can't do it," never accomplished anything. "I will try," has performed wonders.

3. Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.

4. You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.

5. You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself.

6. The only thing better than winning is losing knowing you gave your best.

7. You may think you are all that, but you can't get anywhere without your squad.

8. Remember... there is always a little girl in the stands that wants to be just like you, don't disappoint her.

THE GIRLS WERE AMAZING AT COMPETITION!

Winning 1st place in their division wasn't all they did... They also went and won 3rd place GRAND CHAMPIONS for the Junior Division... They won over other teams in that age group and $500 cash prize was AMAZING!  This was very unexpected!  I was personally blown away.  I couldn't catch my breath.

Everything the girls did was all them!  Coaches can only teach the routine.  The performers have to want to learn it, want to make it their's and that's just what the girls did.  They were electrifying!  Their energy was magnificent!  They showed it on their faces.  They knew what they were doing and they showed the judges the confidence they had in their hearts!  CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS ON MAKING THIS THE MOST AMAZING SEASON!

Who got the 'Most Spirited' and 'Best Leader' merits this week? Well, lets first take a look at who has received them. This article will be an on-going thing so check in every once in a while to see what's new!

Every cheerleader should be mentally and physically ready to cheer at each game.  Each cheerleader should have an immense amount of energy to cheer at each game too.  We award as many girls that are noticed at each game for 'Most Spirited' and 'Best Leader' merits.  Typically it will be 4 girls for each game; two will be 'Most Spirited' and two will be 'Best Leadership.' 

How the 'Most Spirited' and 'Best Leader' merits are given:  Each coach notices at their games the girls that stand out as 'Most Spirited' and 'Best Leader.'  The most spirited girls must be loud, have sharp motions, be mentally and physically ready at the game, have loads of energy and of course a smile.  The best leader girls keep the game moving.  They keep their team in line, call chants, help the captains if they need help, keep their team upbeat, remind team to show spirit, smile, and overall lead their team to always cheer their best.

THE GIRLS REALLY LOOKED GREAT THIS PAST WEEKEND!  They have worked extra hard to learn new chants they themselves made up and taught each other.  Thank you EVERYONE for all your hard work and dedication.

Thank you parents for reinforcing to your daughters the importance of showing respect to their teammates and coaches.  This past weekend was much better.

The girls really seem to enjoy being captains.  They are doing a great job at it.  This helps them own the team and notice the things that the coaches have been noticing.  Thank you girls for being such great leaders.

Thank you everyone for yelling at the games for the football teams.  They need to hear the parents too.  Keep yelling and cheering!
