10:00 AM until 3:00 PM

Bixby High School Indoor Practice Facility

(Just West of the Baseball Field)

Bixby, OK 74008

 

Cost

$60 for T-Ball (5 & 6 yrs)

$80 All others

   They cover Tulsa Girls Softball Federation fees, umpires (BGSA is the only local league to do so), catchers equipment, t-ball tees, field maintenance (mowing, dirt, etc.), bases, balls, light bulbs, concession items & maintenance, insurance, and other equipment.

 Other costs that may be incurred are listed under the Equipment link located at the top. This would include uniforms, cleats, and gloves, etc.

Age Divisions

Based on the girls' age on December 31, 2011 and are:
T-Ball (5 & 6 yr olds)
8 & Under (7 & 8 yr olds)
10 & Under (9 & 10 yr olds)
12 & Under (11 & 12 yr olds)
14 & Under (13 & 14 yr olds)
*16 & Under (15 & 16 yr olds)
*may be combined with 18 & under
18 & Under (15-18 yr olds)

 

Season Dates

Teams should be assigned and practice will usually start in March and is usually 2 times/week going to 1/week once the season starts (at the coach's discretion).

 

April 4th through May 26th

Games will most likely be double-headers one evening a week and alternate between Bentley Park in Bixby and Savage Park at 21st & Lynn Lane

 

There will be a year-end tournament for qualified teams on June 3-5, 2011

 

Skill Levels

This registration is for the recreational league, but if you have a team that would like to play competive softball, you are welcome to sign up through Bixby Girls Softball. Likewise, we will accept any recreational team that is already formed, and individuals.

 

 Bixby Girls Softball Association is USSSA sanctioned. Coaches will register through NYSCA.

All skill levels are welcome and we do our best to place girls with similar skill levels.

When you turn East off of Memorial onto 148th St., you will go approx. 3 blocks and the softball fields will be on the right with the red canopies.

Please make sure you turn the lights off when you are finished with practice or we will not be able to use them except for games.

The Mosquito Complaint Line for Tulsa County is (918) 595-4219. If the mosquitos are bad, please have everyone you know call this number to report the softball fields located at 151st & Mingo need to be sprayed. The more calls for one area, the quicker the response.

Please do not practice when the field is muddy. It really messes up the field.
