My dad is the best kicker in Montana and Utah combined. He really imoroved from last year and i really believe that he can get better, even though there is not a lot of room for improvement. if you catch my drift... well he is the best and my favorite football player. GO # 14! And go bitterroot blaze. good luck next season, even though the other teams will not come nearly close the the AA CHAMPIONS! Expecially the Missoula Phoenix. Who are fairly good but not that good. And the blaze are gonna go un defeated 10-0! I believe in them. they have many good players and coaches that are determined to make a great football team. GO BLAZE

For those of you that don’t know, one of our receivers, Mark Hausknecht #45, had to leave Saturday’s AA Championship game in the first quarter with a compound fracture in his lower leg. This was a very unfortunate (not to mention gruesome) ending to a great season by a great player and teammate. This guy is willing to do whatever the team needs, and always gives 110-percent without whining or questioning…the ultimate role-player on a championship squad. Mark recently received an apprenticeship with Metalworks of Montana, but unfortunately his health insurance benefits don’t begin for another two weeks. Two ambulance rides, a titanium rod and an intensive surgery to repair the broken leg later, Mark’s medical bills are piling up. The Bitterroot Blaze organization is holding a fundraiser this Saturday night, July 7th, at 8:00 p.m. at the Jukebox in Florence (on Highway 93). We ask that anyone associated with the Bitterroot Blaze organization that is able to please attend and help the Blaze help one of our own. Please spread the word, and let’s get out and support Mark this Saturday night! Even if you are not affiliated with the team, there will be music and drinks with the proceeds going to help Mark with his medical expenses, so please feel free to join us if you are in the area!

On behalf of the Bitterroot Blaze family, thank you all and we wish Mark a full and speedy recovery!

Congradulations on winning the AA Championship. After I saw you guys play that first week against us (Helena Titans), I knew you guys would be the team to succeed this year. No lie. I told my father, Mike Connolly #96 OG Helena Titans, this Bitterroot Blaze football organization was the team to take the Montana Division and the RMFL Championship. I am so proud of this team. Great job guys. Great coaching and playing on the field Joe Marawa. Hell of a year! I can't wait to shake your hand next season.

Hi, my name is Kody Merritt. I play TE for th Rockets. I'm wondering if there is a nice campsite with-in an hour drive of your home field. It needs to have a shower and bathroom as we will be staying in a tent. Please call #801-550-8223 if you have any ideas.

Looking forward to a classy bunch of players and coaches coming to town this weekend. Sick of these S@#$ talking teams with no heart or appreciation of this game. See you Saturday.

Bitterroot Blaze

Would the Bitterroot Blaze be interested in hosting a game with the NWFL King County Jaguars of Seattle on your bye date of Saturday May 12th 2007?

The Jaguars are looking for a road game in mid-may and the Darby/Hamilton/Missoula area would be great to visit. Let me know if you’re interested in a game just to get talks going between both of our teams. If this game is of interest to the Blaze, I'll notify the Jaguar owner and GM for a game approval and arrangements.

The Jaguars will be remaining overnight in the Missoula area and we would stay at your teams hotel sponsor. Please let me know soon if your team would be willing to host this game. I for one would love to visit beautiful MT. Thank-you
