Handout: Conduct and Attendance Tuesday, August 11 UNITY! The Patriots traditional "Unity Night" will continue each Tuesday throughout the 2009 season. Unity Night begins with all teams assembling on the Patriots Varsity field thirty minutes before the end of practice. There, Patriots Head Varsity Coach Doug Fraser, aided by all fellow coaches, will conduct a program wide warm-down drill. Afterward, Patriots players and cheerleaders will gather together to hear from our head football/cheer coaches as each recognizes select participants for contributions to date. The program will end on a high note with a motivatioal and insirational speaker. In keeping with tradition, we invite all Patriots families to join us for Unity Night, where age appropriate life lessons, designed to promote success on and off the field, are shared. Friday, July 24 Patriots enhance safety Newly CPR/AED Certified! Safety in our program is paramount. As a result, the Patriots Board invited William Beaumont Hospital to host a CPR and AED (defibrillator) training and certification class for the Patriots. We wish to warmly thank and acknowledge the coaches and volunteers who dedicated their time to getting CPR/AED trained and certified: Coach Bob Bowman, Coach Greg Kolwich, Coach Greg Cutler, Coach Chris Scott, Coach Dan Bejune, Coach Bruce Harms, Coach Brenda Stowell, Coach Richard Marback, Board Members Greg Parry, Denise Bowman, and Graham Fox, Cheerleading GM Julie Parry and daughter Murphi-Rose Parry. As a further effort toward safety, the Patriots have researched and are amid purchasing 2 Philips HeartStartFx AED units to be kept in the Patriots trailer at the practice field and available for games.
