2009 Fall Baseball Rules
Beverly Little League has adopted the following rules for the 2009 Fall Baseball League:
- Managers are encouraged to have players have an opportunity to play all positions as long as they can do so safely.
- Stealing is allowed for all bases, including home.
- At a four run lead, stealing stops.
- There is no 10 run rule due to the 9 inning game.
- Pitching is limited to two innings. Pitch counts should not be necessary - but if a pitcher will be going to play catcher, then the pitch limit is 40 pitches. Otherwise, pitchers and catchers may play both positions during the game.
- No player should sit more than one inning at a time.
- Continuous batting order. Late arrivals are allowed - they will be added to the bottom of the batting order.
- If a team does not have 9 players, the other side should provide outfield positions to allow the game to be played.
- One base coach should be coached by a player, one by a coach.
- The games will be officiated by the Minor League umpires.
- All other Beverly Little League rules apply.
