Beverly Little League: Major A News
On May 19, Kyle Camara of the White Sox threw a no-hitter in a 8-0 win over the Dodgers. Kyle struck out 10 batters in the game. Strong defensive plays were made by second baseman Nick Johnson, Shortstop Brayden Clark and outfielder Mason Linger. Ryan Munzing, Nick Johnson and Sam Bigus had good games at the plate.
Indians Pitcher Collins Throws No-Hitter.
On May 7, Matt Collins of the Indians threw a no-hitter in a 7-0 win over the Padres. Matt struck out five batters along the way. He was equally effective in the field as he made 7 plays himself to record outs. Strong defensive plays were also made by catcher Drew Gross, Michael Brock, Ryan Reynolds, Ian Roy, and Justin Loreti. Aaron Carroll, Reynolds, Daniel Morency and Gavin Doyle had strong games at the plate.
Open Batting Practice
Beginning Monday April 29th and continuing every Monday night throughout the season all major A players are invited to open batting cage time at Harry Ball. Major A coaches will supervise batting practice for ANY major A player who wants to show up and get some extra swings.
