Benicia Fired Up Softball: Coach Profiles
Robert “Bob” Mackey's Coaching experience;
My goal as a Coach and Manager is to develop the youth student athlete to perform at their personal best. To make them an important contributor to the team that they are involved with and to have them commit to be their best personally and as a team mate, not as an individual.
I coached seven years of High School Varsity Football at San Leandro High and Berkeley High as Head offensive Line Coach.
I was an assistant Coach within the Alameda Little League organization for three years.
Four years of combined time as Manager and Assistant Coach for Benicia Girls Fastpitch Softball. Assistant coach for the Bears 10U “A” softball organization. Assistant Coach for Benicia Outlaws 10 U “B”. Manager of Benicia Outlaws 8U “B”, and Manager of Benicia Outlaws 10U ‘C”. I also served on the Board of directors for Benicia Girls Fastpitch and Benicia Outlaws.
Proudly serving on the Board of Directors for the new “Fired Up!” team as Vice President and as 10U Manager and Coach in 2010 and now the 12U manager for 2011. I look forward to the many opportunities this new organization will have for the girls. The tournament play model we have set up for them to be involved in going into the 2011 season is very exciting. Bring on the heat!
