BSCL CHAMPIONS
2003 2004 2005 2008
2008 has arrived and with it brings the challenge Bellows has faced for several years, getting out of the regional semi-final. The last 2 years they have suffered tough losses at the hands of regional champions, A-Plus Plumbers. This year Bellows has added a few ingredients to help the offense and has continued to stock arms in the rotation. It will be easy to say that Bellows has the deepest rotation in the state if not the country. The challenge they will face will be to survive an early season schedule where they may be missing several pieces of the puzzle as they take part in the NCAA tournament. The newcomers that will be needed to contribute right away will be former A-Plus utility man, Bobby Pentino. Pentino was the reigning WHTL MVP. Rob Von Stein will patrol CF. He comes to Bellows off his stellar sophomore campaign at Stonehill College. The added arms are Maxx Catapano from the University of Connecticut. Maxx has an explosive 90 MPH fastball. Rick Muir will join Bellows early in the season and then late as he will play in a collegiate wood bat league. Eric Brown is a smart pitcher who comes from Pace University. Shaun Polke returns to Bellows after playing with a different ball club in 2007. He will get spot starts as well as be a relief specialist.
Although the newcomers will be looked to add a much needed spark the Bellows nucleus returns. Manny Torres, Dave Tokarz, Marco Garamella, Brett Connor, Ron Williams, Jim Chaves, Andre Liscinsky, Sean Dolyak, and Chris Stonaha all return and hope to lead a potent offensive attack. The returning pitching staff is as follows Dusty Mones, John Baumann, Andy Mayer, Mike Sheehy, Pat Kelly. Chris Arden, Mike Constantini and Evan Bowen. Joining them in the rotation will be Torres and Connor.
Bellows hopes to play deep into the summer and finally fulfill their goal of reaching and winning either the AABC or NABF World Series.
