Impact finished as runner up in the Sue Morriss Invitational Tournament this past weekend (June 18-19).  Very proud of the effort our ladies put forth.  The team that beat us was peppered with college freshman, while our oldest player is just 17.  Great experience and anxious to get back into action Thursday night!

IMPACT FINISHES 9th (out of 16) IN FINAL POLL AT 2010 USSSA WORLD SERIES

Impact finished 9th in the 2010 USSSA World Series.  Our overall game record was 3-3.  We won 2 out of 3 pool play games and won our first bracket game, making us 3-1 going into the second round of bracket play on Thursday.

However, the heat got the best of us as we lost two games on Thursday to end our bid for national champions.

The experience was a huge one for all involved.  Our players and families had a wonderful time and were treated royally in Disney World's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.  We'll never forget the 15,000 people in attendance at the Opening Ceremonies and the thrill of winning our first ever World Series game.

We believe the experience will prove invaluable in the coming years to each of these young ladies in both sports and in life.  We are all honored and blessed to represent the state of WV on such a huge platform.  It was truly an experience of a lifetime...

Impact finished the 2010 season with a 24-8 record.  Great summer for some great girls!

What makes a successful team?  It takes more than just hard work and talent - it takes teamwork and teammates who understand selflessness and doing whatever it takes for the team to win and not for the individual to win.  This video is the finest example of a teammate that you will ever see.  I challenge you all to consider this example in your own life...
