Can my child play up/down from their division?

The age requirements are very strict due to little league rules and insurance requirements.  Special circumstances can exist and can only be decided by the current board of directors.

How do I know determine my child's age as it pertains to Little league?

The age of a player is the age the player will be as of May 1st. of the current year.  This is determined by Little League of Williamsport.

Can I have my child put on a certain team?

From the Texas Division (8 yr old on up) the children are put into a draft only division.  For Texas Farm and below, you can request it, but first priority of the league is to team fairness.  Since building of teams is a time consuming event, make your request in writing at the time of registration and we will try no promises to honor it

How can my child become an umpire?

The child must be at least 13 yrs of age.  Sign up is at the same time of spring registration.  It is a seasonal commitment.  The umpiring schedule is set up not to coincide with any games that you are set to play in to the best of our ability.  (There a handful of conflicts, which we do try to correct).  There are mandatory classes that must be attended prior to the beginning of the season.

Can I sponsor a team?

Yes,  however,  Bayside Little League reserves the right to place the Sponsorship as it sees fit.  We do honor Parents who sponsor their child's team.  We also honor past Sponsors in giving them a team.
