2009 Basketball Stars of America Tournaments

Spring 2009 BSA Hosted Tournaments:

March 27-29, 2009 - Pittsburgh Tip Off Classic

April 10-12, 2009 - BSA Pittsburgh Easter Classic

May 1-3, 2009 - Western PA AAU National Qualifier*

May 15-17, 2009 - Pittsburgh Super Regional*

May 29-31, 2009 - BSA Pittsburgh Spring Classic

- Tournaments feature Boys & Girls age divisions 10 and Under through 17 and Under. Info on sites will be posted in the near future.

Basketball Stars of America Tournament Rules:

All Boys Tournaments will feature divisions in the following age groups: 10 & Under (4th grade) through 17 & Under/Open (11th & 12th Grade) - unless noted.
All Girls Tournaments will feature divisions in the following age groups: 10 & Under (5th grade) through 17 & Under/Open (11th & 12th Grade) unless noted.
In all tournaments, teams will play a minimum of 3 games. Top Teams from each age division will qualify for bonus Championship Games.
All players & coaches on Championship Team will receive Tournament Champion shirts!
High School aged games (15 & Under to 17 & Under/Open) will feature 2 16-minute stopped time halves.
Younger aged games (up to 14 & Under) will feature 2 14-minute stopped time halves.
Mercy Rule: Clock will remain running if a team is up 20 with 5 minutes or less to go, or up 30 with 10 minutes or less to go.
PIAA High School Rules Apply unless noted - Bonus on 7th team foul of half, Double Bonus on 10th team foul of half.
Players foul out on 6th personal foul or 2nd technical foul.
Any player or coach ejected from a game must sit entire next game as well.
Each team will get 3 full (45 second) time-outs per game - can be used at any time!
Overtime periods will be 2 minutes each.
4-minute warm up, 2-minute half time.
Tie-Breaker Rules for Championships:
1) Head to Head
2) Plus/minus with 15 point max per game
3) Least Points Given Up
4) Coin Flip
