Sunday, August 31Blackbear United Tryouts for spring 2009
Anyone interested in trying out for the spring 2009 Blackbear United team, tryouts are Saturday September 13 from 11-12 and Saturday September 27 from 3-415 PM (this is a time change from the original) at Hermon Elementary school. You can preregister at the Blackbear United website. Tryout fees are $25 per player.

Sanford Columbus Day Tournament: Waves "Resort"
The Club has a block of rooms being held until September 9 at the Waves Ocean Front Resort in Old Orchard Beach. Standard rooms (no ocean view) are $60+tax/night and deluxe (with view) are $70+tax/night. All rooms have a kitchenette. There isn't a pool but the beach is right there.

Sanford Columbus Day Tournament: Best Western
The Club also has a block of rooms at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn in South Portland. These are $115+tax/night. This hotel requires a 2 night stay and does not provide refunds even if the tournament is cancelled.
Book by September 10, and be sure to tell them you are with the Bangor Soccer Club.
