The Baltimore Blitz Field Hockey Club was formed in the summer of 2008. We are currently based just south of Baltimore. Spring practices are being held at the Severn School in Severna Park. We offer an exciting new approach to field hockey players in Baltimore, Maryland and surrounding areas. The head coach is Warren Prestwich, a native of Australia. He has been playing since he was 6 years old and coaching for over 30 years. His aim for the club is to teach you the way to play the game as he was taught in Australia. Come play for the Blitz and learn to play the way Australians learn to play.
This past winter and spring we have competed in tournaments in Maryland, northern Virginia and Delaware. As we grow we will be branching out to also compete in tournaments in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
We were recently successful in winning a U19 lottery spot to the Thanksgiving Festival being held November 26-28, 2009 at Indio, CA (just north of Palm Springs). We are currently seeking players that want to play at the Thanksgiving Festival.
