BJF Families,

So you are all aware, BJF is under pressure from the Parks Department and if we’re not careful we could loose our concessions altogether.

It is very important that we adhere to all of the field rules listed below.  Representatives from the Parks Department will be on hand during Saturday’s games, please do your part to make sure they only have good things to report back to the powers that be.

  • Always use trash receptacles.
  • Only eat in designated areas and not on the field.
  • Respect the field – no eating or drinking on the playing field.
  • Only water in clear containers will be allowed on the field. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Field attendants will be around to enforce the field rules.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports

A concussion is a brain injury caused by a bump or blow to the head that can change the way your brain normally works. Even what seems to be a mild bump or blow to the head can be serious.

To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the “Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports” initiative to offer information about concussions—a type of traumatic brain injury—to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports. The “Heads Up” initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. Please see our Health Links section under Forms to access the concussion fliers or visit: http://www.cdc.gov/ConcussionInYouthSports
