 Was a three-time first team all-state selection at Ballard High School … in addition to her success on the field, Mockbee is a four-year academic all-state selection … was a three-time all-region selection and was selected as the team MVP in each of the past two seasons … a four-year starter for a program that doesn’t typically start freshmen … led the Bruins to four straight district titles and regional championships in 2005 and 2008 … totaled 679 strikeouts over four seasons, including 220 her senior season … posted a 0.89 ERA her sophomore season, a 0.76 ERA her junior season and a 0.56 ERA her senior season … batted .425 as a sophomore, .454 as a junior and .465 as a senior … also a four-year member of the varsity volleyball team … earned best offensive player award in 2005 and 2006 and most outstanding player award in 2007.

India Attended Ballard High School, where she lettered in softball four times and captained the team as a senior...Was a two-time all-state selection...The Bruins captured numerous tournaments during her career...A top candidate for the Kentucky Miss Softball Award...Holds team records for on-base percentage and stolen bases...Also competed for the Louisville Sluggers club team and batted in the lead-off spot...Three-year letterwinner in basketball who was a captain once...Was an academic all-state selection.

HIGH SCHOOL: A gifted player from Louisville, Ky., Kristina has also been awarded for her team’s efforts in the prep level. Hortert was named the Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year, first-team all-state in her senior year, three-time first-team all-region, and first-team all-district all four seasons. Her Ballard High School team was four-time district champions, four-time regional champs and picked up second place in the state her senior year.
