 (05/07/2013) Today Akadema Professional highlighted our Bakersfield Akadema Heat 11's on their FACEBOOK PAGE! That was an extreme honor. For those of your that don't know who or what Akadema is, Akadema Professional is by far the best Glove and Bat Maker in the industry (HANDS DOWN)! They endorse MLB Players BRYCE HARPER, SHANE VICTORINO, DEREK HOLLAND, & CAMERON MAYBIN, along with alot of up and coming stars in the minors plus colleges. They also help today's youth's in baseball. Since we joined as TEAM AKADEMA as the "BAKERSFIELD AKADEMA HEAT" in early October 2012, they have been our #1 Fan next to our families of course. But I do want to thank Mr. John Phil (Akadema Rep) and owner Mr. Lawrence Gilligan for the greatest products and the support you provide us. Believe me, it's been a great season for the Heat and having Akadema Professional by our side has been the greatest feeling! So to AKADEMA, I want to thank them for everything they do for us! We just hope to continue to have a successful season of youth Travel Baseball. The talented teams that we have been honored to play are such great teams and coached by such great people! We are building great friends and the boys have gained great and what will be long lasting friendships.

(04/21/2013) The Bakersfield Akadema Heat 11u finished in 2nd Place. Losing in the Championshipship match to Team Mizuno 9-0 in 4 innings. The Highlights of the weekend in the USSSA 11u Elite Invitational in Las Vegas NV was the Heat winning the Special "Cooperstown Skills Competition". The Heat took the championship in the Around the Horn Competition. Way to go boys! The Heat's record for this tournament was (5-1-1) Pool Play the Heat defeated Team Mizuno (8-0), Tied the Arizona Grinders (4-4), defeated the Nevada Wildcats (10-0), defeated the San Diego Longhorns (3-0), defeated the Denton County Dallas Raptors (9-4), defeated the Nevada Wildcats (5-4) in the Semi's, before finally running out of gas and losing to a great Mizuno Team. (7) Games over 3 days is grueling on 11 year old pitching arms not to mention the extreme change of weather really fitegued the players. It's definitely a change of pace going from playing in 50-60 degree weather, to 90+ degree Heat. That's why we tip our hats to all the teams that competed this pas weekend in Las Vegas. The Weather was hot, but the ball playing was hotter! Great job to all the teams! There was not bad team in this tournament and I want to congratulate and thank Coach Vince Miller for putting together a top notch tournament for our boys to participate in. We look forward to any future events that you extend an invitation to us to play in. ON A SIDE NOTE: We are very happy to hear the Denton County Dallas Raptors pitcher that took a solid line drive off his head by #24 Kobe Silva is doing well! Also on one final note, the awards given out by the Wildcats were TOP NOTCH! Thanks so much for te outstanding tournament from start to finish! 

 (03/24/2013) Bakersfield Akadema Heat 11u finished in 2nd place this weekend in the USSSA SUPER NIT in Gilbert Arizona at Big League Dreams. The Heat did very well against some of the best teams in the country. The Heat went 5-1-1 for the weekend. The Heat lost in a nail biter against the SGV Hustle in 7 innings 11-10. Great job boys in this tournament! Keep working hard!

 (03/04/2013) Bakersfield Akadema Heat 11u had a very successful weekend of baseball. The Heat went 4 & 0 winning the Central California Battle of the Best 11uTournament. The Heat defeated the Sliders 9-2, Patriots 20-0, Shockerz 17-0, and the Sliders in the Championship 9-0. Great job to the parents who worked extremely hard during our tournament. The tournament was very successful and we raised alot of money. Thanks to all the teams who supported our event. We appreciate everyone for playing and supporting our team!

(02/26/2013) Bakersfield Akadema Heat 11u is hosting the Central California Battle of the Best Tournament this weekend. Should be a great weather. We are looking forward to watching some great baseball all weekend! Thanks to the teams competing and helping our elite squad fundraise for the 2014 Cooperstown National 12u Tournament.
