Welcome to Backyard Fastpitch, a new alternative to recreational fastpitch softball in Macomb, MI
BACKYARD FASTPITCH

Mission Statement:
To improve girls skill level and understanding of fast pitch softball through competitive game play and practice in four different age levels to best prepare them for high school softball.
League Structure:
This league will replace the “LCN Thunder Softball League” and will be set up into four age groups:
8U- Pitching Machine – Teaching the basics of fast pitch softball stressing catching, throwing, fielding mechanics, base running, and game play.
10U- Girls Pitch/ Pitching Machine- Introduces girls to fundamentals pitching, base stealing, bunting, reinforces catching, throwing, fielding mechanics, base running, and game play. Games will be split into half season of girls pitch and half season of pitching machine.
12U- Girls Pitch- Begin to reinforce fundamentals of pitching, base stealing, bunting, while continuing to reinforce catching, throwing, fielding mechanics, base running and game play. Games will be slightly modified High School rules.
14U- Girls Pitch- Continue to improve on girls skills while competing in games played under High School rules.
